What the Free Online Assessment collects (what we need from you)

When you use the Free Online Assessment, we ask for the information we need to do an eligibility check. This typically includes:

• First and last name, contact email and phone, current address
• Country of citizenship and age
• Marital status and spouse/common-law partner information (when applicable)
• Highest level of education completed
• Work experience details for the last 10 years (positions and dates)
• English and French language skill levels (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
• Option to attach a résumé/CV (or send it by email to canada@moyal.com)

We use these answers to screen possible pathways, such as skilled worker categories, family sponsorship, student pathways, work permits, and business programs, and to recommend next steps.

Confidentiality and use of your information

The personal information you provide on our Free Online Assessment is used solely to assess your eligibility to immigrate to Canada and to advise you on next steps. We keep intake information confidential and will reply as soon as possible after review.

What happens after you submit the assessment

• We review your assessment to identify the immigration category most appropriate for you.
• We may follow up with clarifying questions by email or phone.
• If we accept your case, we provide specific instructions on the required documents needed to open a file.
• Processing time estimates depend on:

- the immigration category,

- how quickly you are able to collect documents, and

- official processing timelines set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Document review and preparing for an initial consult

The Free Assessment collects summary information (education, employment history, language skills, and spouse details). For any consultation or file opening, we may request supporting documents specific to your category.

To prepare for an initial conversation or, later, to open a file, gather the items that match the intake fields (we will provide a specific list once we accept your file), such as:

• Passport ID pages
• Résumé/CV
• Diplomas or transcripts
• Employment reference letters (with dates and positions)
• Any language test results
• Identity documents for family members (if applicable)

In-person vs remote meetings

Our head office is in Toronto, and Attorney Henry Moyal practices Canadian immigration law from our head office.

We also arrange occasional meetings and seminars abroad. Where appropriate, we can communicate and advise remotely by email, phone, or video.

Fees and next steps after assessment

Fees depend on your case. We use the initial assessment to determine the appropriate category before providing a fee quote.
