Who we are

  • We are led by Attorney Henry Moyal. Henry began his immigration career in 1988 and has practiced Canadian immigration law for decades. He travels internationally to meet clients, gives seminars, and writes a weekly column called "Immigration Newsweek." He works directly on many files and is the primary contact named across our public materials.
  • We are a full-service immigration law office that handles both inland and overseas Canadian immigration services and serves a wide range of client categories.

Our approach and philosophy

  • We focus on timely, practical processing of immigration applications. Where possible, we aim to file at the fastest Canadian Embassy available and to minimize avoidable delays.
  • We begin each new inquiry with a Free Online Assessment so we can determine the best category and advise on eligibility and documentation. We generally evaluate case type first, then provide a scope of services and document checklist before opening a file.
  • We handle substantive legal work from our head office in Toronto. While we travel internationally and sometimes designate local agents when needed, advice and file decisions are made by our licensed Canadian lawyers in Toronto.

Areas of practice

We handle a broad set of immigration matters, including:

  • Independent & skilled worker applications
  • Family sponsorships
  • Visitor, student, and work visas
  • Appeals and removal order matters
  • Live-in caregiver applications
  • Business, entrepreneur, and investor applications
  • Humanitarian & compassionate applications
  • Affidavits and special powers of attorney
  • Provincial nominee and Express Entry applications

If you are unsure which category fits, complete the Free Online Assessment so we can evaluate your circumstances.

How we work with you (what to expect)

  • First step: complete the Free Online Assessment (link above). That gives us the information we need to recommend the right category and estimate next steps.
  • File opening: once we agree to proceed, we send a tailored document checklist and instructions for what to upload or bring. We then prepare the application and submit it on your behalf.
  • Timing: processing times depend on the immigration category, how quickly you can provide required documents, and IRCC/Embassy processing times. We track updates and communicate changes as they occur.
  • Communication: we provide direct attorney oversight. In client feedback we are regularly described as responsive; when we accept a file we will confirm the main point(s) of contact and the preferred communication channels (email/phone). For an evaluation, we ask you to complete the Free Online Assessment so we can give a specific plan and timeline.

What we will ask you to provide

Typical documents may include:

  • Personal identification (passport)
  • Civil status documents
  • Police clearances (where required)
  • Education and employment evidence
  • Any documents specific to the category we identify in the assessment

After you complete the assessment, we will give a detailed checklist for your file.

Fees and billing

Every case is different. We first evaluate your category and chances through the Free Online Assessment and then provide a fee quote and retainer terms tailored to your file. For a fee estimate, please complete the assessment or contact our office.

Testimonials & reputation

We publish client testimonials and case feedback on our site and reference client outcomes as part of how prospective clients learn about our service.

Events, seminars, and publications

Henry travels internationally to meet with clients and presents seminars on Canadian immigration topics. He also authors the weekly column "Immigration Newsweek." If you want to invite a seminar or have Henry speak, contact our office via the contact page.
